INFACC promotes an NGO model microfinance approach. Microfinance activities are carried out by forming voluntary organizations under the Societies Registration Act and forming neighbourhood groups under the Societies within the limits of one or more possible wards or local self-government bodies. Local NGOs emphasize the security, development, and effective functioning of neighbourhood groups. These are working to help Neighbourhood groups to manage their funds more securely with the aim of accuracy, authenticity, transparency, technology, and documentation.
Neighborhood groups under INFACC are known as Sangamam. Common acvies include thri, interest-free loans through cooperation, employment initiatives, social awareness, women empowerment, leadership training, and service. Neighborhood groups are formed under NGOs that are formed independently at grassroot levels.
NHGs are groups of up to 20 people from neighbouring houses. Separate neighbourhood groups are formed for men and women. Any person who is an Indian citizen and has completed the age of 18 years and who accepts the norms of the neighbourhood group can become a member of the NHGs. The NHG members meet weekly at their group office or at the home of any NHG member.
Each neighbourhood group maintains an account in the name of the group and authenticate the office bearers to operate same at any bank or recognized financial institutions. There 5650 neighbourhood groups and morethan 100,000 members are joining under 245 grassroot level NGOs which affiliates in INFACC.
INFACC has developed software and a mobile app to make financial and administrative operations of neighbourhood groups and grassroots NGOs accurate, transparent, and easy. Through this software and mobile app, neighbourhood group members can check and operate their accounts using mobile and computer. Neighborhood secretaries can update financial information through software. Loan application, loan sanction, Loan repayment, savings withdrawal etc. can all be done using the software, INFACC audits the accounts of grassroot level NGOs at the end of each financial year using software.
INFACC provides job training, job projects, interest-free loans, subsidies, and technical support to enhance employability and create sustainable employment opportunities. Collaboration with Baithuzzakath Kerala and other voluntary organizations ensures the sustainability of employment projects. INFACC strives to ensure the sustainability of employment projects, producti ality, marketing, feasibility etc. Of NHG ventures.
